OTP Authentication – Enhanced Security EuRREB

To secure your account, the Core Registry requires two-factor authentication (2FA). This process involves using an authenticator app on your phone. Recommended apps include:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • FreeOTP

How 2FA Works

  1. Enter your username and password on the login screen.
  2. If 2FA is already set up, you will be directed to a screen where you must enter the 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app.
  3. If 2FA is not set up or if you wish to reset it, click the Send Verification Email link on the 2FA screen to send a setup email to your registered email address.

Setting Up 2FA

  1. Open the email and click the one-time setup link.
  2. On the 2FA setup screen, scan the QR code using your authenticator app. If you cannot scan the QR code, use the Manual Entry Key provided on the setup screen to manually configure your authenticator app.
  3. Your app will generate a 6-digit code. Enter this code on the setup screen to complete the process.

Important Notes

  • You only need to scan the QR code the first time to set up 2FA.
  • For future logins, you will need both your password and the 6-digit code provided by your authenticator app.
